Test Engineer

The Opportunity
The Advanced Development Team is seeking a Test Engineer to support engine and component-level testing for new technologies and products. The role involves planning, coordinating, and executing testing within schedule and cost constraints while reporting results to project leadership. This position is cross-functional and may include design support tasks tied to testing requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in product design and development teams, providing input and feedback from assembly and test efforts; attend design and gate reviews.
- Support design and manufacturing activities related to tooling, instrumentation, and hardware modification.
- Prepare and maintain test planning documentation and assembly test orders; lead planning and readiness reviews.
Manage and direct assigned test resources to achieve objectives effectively.
Coordinate with the Test Methods group on facility needs and modifications.
Partner with project leadership to track schedule and scope.
Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering.
3 to 5 years of relevant test experience required.
- Background in project management, engineering design, and manufacturing preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint).
Experience with NX and Teamcenter.
Experience with Python or similar tools for large data set processing.
- Strong mechanical aptitude; knowledge of propulsion systems is highly desirable.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to support extended testing and travel to third-party facilities as needed.
U.S. citizenship required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance if needed.
