JOB DESCRIPTION

QUALIFICATIONS:We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic sonographic examinations using high-frequency sound waves to image internal organs in the diagnosis of disease, and will be responsible for the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Always maintain a professional and friendly attitude with patients and co-workers.
- Must be dependable, flexible, have strong communication and interpersonal skills to explain procedures to patients and be able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Be willing to learn new exams/procedures as needed to be an integral part of the ultrasound team accommodating the needs of our patients and referring physicians.
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures according to established protocols.
- Knowledge of ultrasound equipment and imaging techniques
- Ability to operate and adjust equipment settings to obtain high-quality images.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
- Analyze images and communicate findings to physicians for interpretation and patient diagnosis.
- Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy and confidentiality of all medical information.
- Must be knowledgeable of the fundamentals and comfortable with the everyday use of PACS, RIS systems, as well as general computer skills required to complete daily tasks.
- CPR – annual certification, OSHA and HIPPA yearly training required.
- Responsible for registering in all areas of ultrasound performed at RMI including: ABD, OB/GYN, Breast and Vascular registries, as well as staying current on any and all continuing education.
- Attendance at meetings and training sessions may be required. These sessions could occasionally be scheduled outside of your regular working hours to accommodate business needs and training opportunities. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Associate’s degree (A.A) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
- Minimum of one (1) -three (3) years of experience in a clinical set
- Must hold at least one (1) registry with the ARDMS
- Must continue to maintain continuing education credits and registry requirements in compliance with the ARDMS.
- Must be willing to register in all ARDMS registries required by RMI including, ABD, OB/GYN, Breast and Vascular. A one (1) year time period is allotted to obtain any new registry.

Two Options Available: (1) 4, 10-hour shifts - 7 am to 6 pm - M, W, Th, and F (2) 3, 12 hour shifts - 7 am to 8 pm - W, Th, and F Additionally, both Schedule options will require a rotating Saturday shift (every 3rd Saturday)Full Time: Hours range from 36-40 hours per week (see Shift Schedule options provided)
