When a cavity starts flashing or a hot runner alarms, do you lean in—diagnosing at the press, restoring function fast, and documenting what it’ll take to prevent a repeat? Join us and turn that instinct into impact across our production floor.
Your missionSafeguard the performance of injection molds by solving problems at the source, executing precise repairs, and preparing tools for their next run. You’ll be the hands-on expert others count on during trials, startups, and the unexpected.
How you’ll contribute- Tackle press-side troubleshooting for flash, short shots, sticking, and cosmetic defects.
- Disassemble molds for repair and PM; clean, lubricate, polish, and swap components (pins, bushings, lifters, slides, ejectors).
- Service hot runner systems—identify bad heaters or thermocouples, trace leaks, correct wiring issues.
- Audit cooling circuits, vents, and parting lines to ensure robust performance.
- Perform rapid emergency fixes to bring production back online.

- Work shoulder-to-shoulder with Process Technicians, Operators, Quality, and Supervisors.
- Spot patterns in recurring issues and champion practical improvements.
- Capture accurate PM and repair records.
- Keep a safe, orderly, and clean work area.
- Weld, machine, grind, burn, polish, and hand-finish damaged areas.
- Reverse-engineer broken details using CAD and manual measurement techniques.
- Provide direct tooling readiness for APC production to hold downtime to a minimum.
- Assist other production lines as needed to sustain plant throughput and efficiency.
- Be part of APC launch and ramp-up: readiness verification, trials, and process stabilization.
- 10+ years of hands-on tooling experience in a plastic injection molding facility.
- Proven experience working on molds in the press during production.
- Confident, fast decision-making under pressure.
- Hot runner know-how (DME, Husky, Mold-Masters, Synventive, or equivalent).
- Ability to interpret mold prints and understand construction.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with hand tools, precision measurement, and shop equipment.
- Team-first mindset with the ability to work independently.
- 5+ years CNC mill programming and set-up.
- 5+ years G-code and CAD/CAM experience.
- Skilled on manual toolroom equipment (mill, lathe, surface grinder).
- EDM sinker and wire experience.
- Comfort operating an overhead crane to move molds safely.
- Tool & Die, Mold Making, or technical trade certification.
- Micro TIG welding proficiency; A1 surface polishing.
- Background in high-volume or tight-tolerance molding (automotive, medical, consumer goods).
- Experience with Fusion 360 and/or SolidWorks.
- IQMS familiarity.
- HAAS CNC mill experience.
- Competitive hourly pay.
- Comprehensive benefits, including free medical/HSA coverage for employees earning under $75,000 annually who elect individual coverage.
- 401(k) retirement plan.
- Generous PTO and paid company holidays.
- Weekly uniforms at no cost.
- Annual boot allowance for qualified safety toe footwear.
- Constant exposure to diverse tools and challenges that grow your skill set.

- PPE required: safety glasses, high-visibility clothing, safety-toed boots.
- Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, and tight-space work.
- Work near hot molds, presses, cranes, and industrial equipment.
- Overtime/weekend availability when production requires.
