This is a 1st Shift position: Monday Thursday 5 am 3:30 pm

Job Summary: Work as a member of a team responsible for turbine engine engine module or component maintenance in accordance with published work instructions and approved technical data.

What You Will Do:

  • Utilize common hand tools as well as a wide variety of tooling and fixtures to perform disassembly/assembly of engines engine modules and components
  • Ensure all phases of assembly/disassembly as specified by work instructions comply with required self-inspection or peer inspection of critical processes ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Monitor and ensure processes meet Safety Quality and Delivery objectives.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • HS Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1 years experience in mechanic role or appropriate technical training (ASE certification or military equivalent)

Qualifications We Value:

  • 1 years experience in aviation mechanic role
  • Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License OR Powerplant (P) Certificate OR 2 years relevant experience
  • Basic understanding of Disassembly Assembly Test (DAT)
  • Basic understanding of continuous improvement principles such as Lean Six Sigma or RTXs CORE Operating System
  • Engine overhaul and repair experience GTF and/or F117 PW2000 in one or more of the following disciplines: Disassembly Inspection Assembly Turbine Engine Test Operations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles commuting to and from the assigned site is the employees personal responsibility.

Pratt & Whitney Columbus GA is a FAA regulated facility and as such under the U.S. Departments of Transportations Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
