We are seeking a professional, highly organized, and patient-focused Front Desk Receptionist to join our fast-paced oral surgery practice. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong multi-tasking abilities, strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to maintain a calm, composed demeanor in a busy clinical environment. This role requires the ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently. As the first point of contact for patients, this individual will ensure a welcoming and efficient check-in and check-out process while accurately managing data entry, a multi-line phone system, appointment scheduling, patient records, financial transactions, and coordination of daily patient flow.
Key Reponsibilities
Patient Check-In
- Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival
- Verify patient demographic and insurance information
- Collect required forms, referrals, and identification
- Confirm scheduled procedures and update electronic health records (EHR)
- Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Patient Check-Out
- Review completed treatment notes and confirm next steps in patient treatment
- Schedule follow-up appointments and post-operative visits
- Collect co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances
- Provide receipts and explain payment policies clearly
- Provide treatment plans and associate fees to patients
Administrative Duties
- Answer multi-line phone system and respond to patient inquiries
- Schedule and confirm appointments
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
- Manage daily patient flow to minimize wait times
- Maintain organized front desk and reception area
- Assist with scanning, filing, and record management
- Communicate effectively with clinical and administrative team members
