EPEO Strategy & Finance, Product and Data Engineer Manager
The EPEO Strategy, Financial & Supplier Management department serves a central role within EPEO whose focus is to orchestrate EPEO-wide strategic initiatives, provide financial business intelligence and drive financial operational improvements. The team is accountable for administering EPEO’s multi-year sourcing strategies, overseeing division's global budget and strategic investments and providing transparency to the Enterprise regarding their infrastructure consumption costs.
EPEO's sourcing strategy is an initiative to transform and invest in its technology and talent to accelerate Ford's transformation into a software and platform focused, customer-obsessed company and to effectively structure its services and products to meet availability, reliability, and performance goals while reducing risk, technical debt and improving overall cost profile.
Specific responsibilities for this position include:
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand and capture current and future data and process requirements
- Partner with key stakeholders to define robust and holistic data strategies, including data governance mechanism, data quality standards, data management principles and data stewardship practices to support business objectives
- Automate data product lifecycles within EPEO's financial operations and drive process simplification to eliminate waste and inefficiencies
- Enable intelligent business decisions by analyzing, interpreting and visualizing data into business-relevant actionable recommendations, leveraging AI opportunities where applicable
- Utilize Jira software to manager assigned projects, including the creation of critical milestone plans, program dashboards, proactively manage associated issues and risks, update monthly KPIs, and facilitate governance meetings as required
- Coordinate with global teams to capture plan inputs/updates and perform analyses to identify gaps to program objectives
- Partner with Supply Chain and Platform teams to identify supplier rationalization opportunities
- Partner with Cost Transparency team to industrialize EPEO’s FinOps information and processes in order to provide total cost of ownership for applications, employees and sites.
Required Skills :
- 7+ years of working with Technology Business Model (TBM) and taxonomy, including designing and managing cost allocation models
- 6+ years of hands-on technical, data engineering and management experience, including implementing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes
- 5+ years of project management experience; delivering large scale projects
- 3+ years of exeucting organization change management, with an emphasis on gaining organizational buy-in and adoption
- 3+ years of capturing requirements/use cases from diverse set of stakeholders, including technical teams, senior leadership, finance, purchasing teams, etc.
- 3+ year of vendor management, including executing request for proposals/quotes and negotiating statements of work and hardware/software contracts
- Working knowledge of Infrastructure & Operations (I&O) services and products.
- Working knowledge of common financial management processes and practices, including OpEx vs. CapEx, amortization, depreciation, etc.
- Enthusiastic, self-starter with ability to learn quickly, approach work with a positive, can-do attitude and adapt to shifting priorities
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Strong verbal and writing skills, including ability to effectively communicate with senior levels of leadership
- Working knowledge of Agile delivery practices and tools (e.g. Jira)
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of MS Office productivity tools
Desired Skills:
- Working knowledge of EPEO’s organization and services
- Experience with data analytical tools (e.g Alteryx, QlikSense, PowerBI, etc.)
