Description

Position Summary: Position that falls within a collective bargaining agreement that performs and produces quality parts for various customer requirements at our location in Muskegon Michigan.

Essential Job Functions:


Under guidance of the department supervisor, execute the following:

• Assemble and disassemble military diesel engines and transmissions, and sub-components
• Follow documented process books for customer specific assembly
• Read and comprehend instructions following established procedures
• Assemble parts according to processes provided in established procedures
• Perform required pressure tests on parts to ensure quality standards are met
• Use hand gauges such as: Micrometers, Calipers, Dial Indicators and Go NoGo gauges
• Perform and maintain On the Job Training (OJT) requirements
• Any and all other duties as assigned by management

Position Requirements

Qualification Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of Assembly experience
• Must be able to read orders and work instructions
• Must be able to read and understand processes and process drawings
• Must have mechanical skills
• Must have mathematical skills
• Must be able to lift and bend up to and including 50 lbs.
• Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Material Handling experience preferred
• 2 years Machining experience preferred
