Description Position Summary: Position that falls within a collective bargaining agreement that performs and produces quality parts for various customer requirements at our location in Muskegon Michigan. Essential Job Functions:
Under guidance of the department supervisor, execute the following:
- Assemble and disassemble military diesel engines and transmissions, and sub-components
- Follow documented process books for customer specific assembly
- Read and comprehend instructions following established procedures
- Assemble parts according to processes provided in established procedures
- Perform required pressure tests on parts to ensure quality standards are met
- Use hand gauges such as: Micrometers, Calipers, Dial Indicators and Go NoGo gauges
- Perform and maintain On the Job Training (OJT) requirements
- Any and all other duties as assigned by management
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of Assembly experience
- Must be able to read orders and work instructions
- Must be able to read and understand processes and process drawings
- Must have mechanical skills
- Must have mathematical skills
- Must be able to lift and bend up to and including 50 lbs.
- Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance
- Material Handling experience preferred
- 2 years Machining experience preferred
