CVOR Surgical Technologist Job Details

• Location: Jackson, MI 49201 (Michigan healthcare jobs)
• Facility: Hospital – Surgical Services (Cardiovascular Operating Room)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: August 25, 2025
• End Date: November 22, 2025
• Shift: 12-hour shifts, 6:30am – 7:00pm
• On-Call: One night on-call per week; one weekend on-call per 4-week period
• Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed 40 hours)
• Employment Type: Travel/Contract Surgical Technologist job
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2020 - $2070 per week

Surgical Technologist Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of recent cardiovascular (CVOR) operating room experience required
• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (ST) – NBSTSA or NCCT preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program
• At least 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technologist in a hospital setting

Key Responsibilities for CVOR Surgical Technologists

• Assist in preparing and caring for pre-operative patients in the Cardiovascular Operating Room
• Support surgeons and the surgical team during cardiovascular procedures by maintaining a sterile field and providing necessary instruments and supplies
• Maintain accurate counts of surgical instruments, sponges, and supplies throughout procedures
• Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled for CVOR cases
• Adhere to hospital policies, infection control protocols, and safety standards
