Visiting Assistant Professor of Hispanic Studies

The Hispanic Studies Department at Hamilton College invites applications for 3 visiting positions for one-year terms (leave replacement positions for 2026-2027), beginning July 1, 2026. We seek candidates to teach courses in Spanish language, Hispanic film, contemporary Spanish literature and cultures, and contemporary Latin American literature and cultures. We are seeking candidates who can demonstrate their experience in teaching or working with broadly diverse student populations. The Hispanic Studies Department offers a diverse curriculum that includes Spanish language study for both non-heritage and heritage speakers, and Latin American, Spanish and U.S. Latino literature and culture studies. Candidates with ABD will be considered, although candidates with a Ph.D. are preferred. The teaching load for this position is five courses for the academic year. The expected 9-month base salary range for this position is $77,900 to $80,400.
