We’re hiring Event Evaluators to cover youth basketball events for Coast 2 Coast Preps. This is a great opportunity for coaches, trainers, scouts, former players, basketball media members, and serious hoops junkies who can identify talent, move quickly, and create strong content around what they see.

What the role looks like

As an Event Evaluator, you’ll be on-site covering games throughout the weekend and helping us tell the story of the event in real time. Your responsibilities will center around four main things:

• Watching games and identifying standout talent
  
  
• Evaluating players and sharing quick, insightful takeaways
  
  
• Taking clean headshot-style photos of athletes
  
  
• Collecting player social media information and helping us promote them on our channels
  
  

You’ll play a key role in helping athletes get recognized while also delivering the kind of event coverage our audience expects.

What we’re looking for

We want people who know basketball and can spot what matters. You do not need to be a full-time scout or writer, but you should be comfortable evaluating performance and communicating clearly.

Ideal candidates are:

• Deeply familiar with youth basketball
  
  
• Comfortable attending live events and moving on a tight timeline
  
  
• Able to capture quality player photos on-site
  
  
• Active on social media or at least comfortable working around it
  
  
• Reliable, organized, and professional
  
  
• Able to be fully available for the assigned event weekend
  
  

Compensation

This is a paid freelance opportunity with evaluators earning between $500 and $750 per weekend, depending on output and assignment load. Hotel accommodations are provided when necessary.
