About the role:
As a CBRE People Generalist, you'll be responsible for supporting various human resources initiatives, policies and procedures. You will also provide conflict resolution services and communicate People/HR programs and policies.
This job is part of the People Strategy and Operations function. They are responsible for the design, execution, and monitoring of human resource programs and policies.
What you'll do:

Lead all aspects of HR transactions related to onboarding of new employees, status changes for existing employees, and terminations of employees.

Provide interpretation of HR policies and procedures as they relate to individuals and the company objectives.

Prepare reports and data to present to other areas of the business.

Orchestrate employee relations claims, start the discovery process and gather information relating to the situations.

Lead unemployment claim inquiries and background check adjudication requests.

Communicate company and government rules, regulations, and procedures and the need for compliance to management and employees.

Stay current on federal and state employment laws.

Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.

Have a broad knowledge of own job subject area and some knowledge of several job subject areas within the function.

Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. May convince to reach an agreement.

Impact the quality of own work and the work of others on the team.

Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.

Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.
What you'll need:
Bachelor's Degree preferred with 2-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
Preferred in-depth knowledge of Google Suite products. Examples include Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail, etc.
Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive approach.
Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The maximum salary for the People Generalist position is $95,000 annually. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
