As a chef in our senior living community, you'll prepare nutritious, flavorful meals that support residents’ health and well-being in a homelike dining environment. About the Role

You will prepare and serve meals that meet residents’ dietary needs and preferences. You’ll work closely with the Head Chef, nursing staff, and Life Enrichment team to ensure meals support residents’ nutrition and overall quality of life.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and cook meals according to established menus and dietary guidelines
• Ensure all food preparation and storage meets safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
• Accommodate specialized diets, including diabetic, low-sodium, or allergen-sensitive meals
• Assist with menu planning, prep, and inventory management
• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and workstation
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen and care teams regarding resident needs
• Contribute to a positive, homelike dining experience for residents and guests

Required Qualifications

• Experience in food preparation and cooking (healthcare, senior living, or institutional experience preferred)
• Ability to read, write, and speak English for clear communication
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Physical stamina to stand, lift, and work efficiently throughout shifts
• Dependable, team-oriented approach to work

Preferred Qualifications

• Food safety or culinary certification
• Experience in Assisted Living or Senior Living environments
• Experience working under a Head Chef or within a structured kitchen team
