The Apartment Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the upkeep and functionality of residential properties by performing a wide range of general maintenance and repair tasks. Working primarily on-site and independently, this position reports to the maintenance supervisor and occasionally collaborates within small teams to address tenant needs and maintain building operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform electrical repairs and troubleshoot electrical systems
- Conduct plumbing maintenance and repairs
- Execute general repairs throughout apartment units and common areas
- Carry out preventive maintenance tasks to avoid future issues
- Provide timely and effective support to tenants regarding maintenance requests
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in apartment maintenance
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of HVAC repair, electrical systems, and plumbing
- Skill in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting
- Strong customer service abilities
- Proficient in the operation of hand tools
