Groundskeeper

At Candlewyck Apartments , we take pride in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for our residents. We’re currently seeking a dedicated Groundskeeper to join our team. This role is crucial in keeping the grounds clean, inviting, and well-maintained throughout the seasons. The Groundskeeper will also provide support to the property staff as needed to ensure efficient operations.

Duties & Responsibilities:
The Groundskeeper will adhere to company policies and all applicable federal, state, and local laws, including Fair Housing regulations. Core responsibilities include:

• Maintaining lawns, gardens, and landscaped areas year-round.
• Mowing grass, trimming shrubs, and selecting appropriate plants for walkways or garden spaces.
• Raking leaves and caring for flowers, trees, and plants.
• Performing weed control and removing harmful vegetation (e.g., poison oak, poison ivy).
• Applying mulch, fertilizers, and pesticides as necessary.
• Collecting and disposing of trash and debris from common areas.
• Sweeping sidewalks, steps, and shared spaces.
• Handling light snow removal and salting walkways as needed.
• Coordinating larger-scale snow or dirt removal when necessary.
• Assisting the maintenance team with additional duties as assigned.
• Reporting supply needs to management.

Qualifications:

• Ability to perform physical tasks and follow directions efficiently.
• Required to wear protective gear (gloves, goggles, appropriate clothing) based on tasks.
• Familiarity with landscaping tools and equipment (e.g., mowers, trimmers, blowers, rakes, shovels, snow removal tools).
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior outdoor maintenance experience preferred.

Compensation:

• Job Type: Full-time, On-Site.
• Monday-Friday (9AM-6PM).
• Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour (Dependent on experience).
