Job Title: Retail Counter-Person and Yard HandLocation: Dimondale, MIEmployment Type: Full-timeJob Summary:We are seeking a dependable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Retail Counter-Person and Yard Hand at Outdoor Equipment Co. This dual-role position involves assisting customers at the retail counter and performing yard work duties, including handling materials and maintaining organization in the yard. If you enjoy a hands-on job with a mix of indoor and outdoor responsibilities, this position is perfect for you.Responsibilities:As a Retail Counter-Person, you will assist customers with product inquiries, orders, and purchases. This includes operating the cash register, processing transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean and organized retail area. You will restock shelves, track inventory levels, and provide exceptional customer service with a friendly and professional attitude.In the Yard Hand role, your duties include loading and unloading units for customers. You will operate equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks safely (if certified), organize and maintain the yard area for efficiency and cleanliness, and help the Service department with getting units inside.Qualifications:Candidates with prior experience in retail, customer service, or a related field are preferred, but not required. You should be able to lift heavy materials (up to [weight limit, e.g., 50 lbs.]) and work comfortably in various weather conditions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash transactions accurately are required. Forklift certification is a plus but not required, as training can be provided.
