Job Title: Quality Manager

Job Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

We are seeking a results-driven Hands-On Quality Manager to lead our quality department and ensure every component leaving our facility meets strict customer and regulatory specifications. In this role, you will be more than an administrator; you will be active on the shop floor, performing critical inspections alongside your team while maintaining our ISO 9001/AS9100/ISO 13485 certifications.

Core Responsibilities

• Active Floor Inspection: Perform and verify First Article Inspections (FAI) , in-process checks, and final buy-offs for high-tolerance machined parts and weldments.
• QMS Leadership: Own and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) , ensuring audit readiness for ISO 9001 , AS9100 and ISO 13485 standards.
• Metrology Management: Direct the calibration of all precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) and oversee the operation/programming of CMM equipment .
• Root Cause Analysis: Lead investigations into non-conformances (NCRs) using tools like 8D , 5-Whys , or Fishbone to implement permanent corrective actions.
• Technical Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for customer quality issues and supplier audits.
• Team Development: Mentor and train inspectors and machinists on proper measurement techniques and GD&T interpretation.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 5–10 years of experience in a precision machining or manufacturing environment.
• Technical Skill: Expert-level ability to read complex blueprints and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) .
• Measurement Mastery: High proficiency with a wide range of precision hand tools and experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) .
• Audit Experience: Proven track record of leading internal and external audits for ISO 9001 or AS9100 .
