Position Overview The position is responsible for maintaining accurate employee benefit and payroll data, coordinating and processing bi-weekly payroll for over 100 employees, managing benefits enrollments and changes with vendors, and assisting employees with payroll and benefits questions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and committed to providing excellent service to employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process biweekly payroll, including wage calculations, deductions, and adjustments.
  • Maintain payroll records, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Administer employee benefits programs (health, dental, vision, retirement, leave, etc.).
  • Support new employee onboarding with payroll and benefits enrollment.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for staff regarding payroll and benefits questions.
  • Partner with HR and Finance teams on audits, reporting, and compliance.
  • Stay current on payroll and benefits regulations and best practices.
  • Administer benefits, including enrollment, termination, and billing.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in HR, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience preferred).
  • 2+ years of payroll and/or benefits administration experience required.
  • Knowledge of payroll systems (ADP preferred) and benefit administration processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain discretion with confidential information

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Part-Time (20–25 hours per week)

$25 per hour

Hybrid – Based in Lansing, Michigan

Occasional travel required for team meetings and training
