Storeroom Clerk
Primary Function:
This position will work with Storeroom, Procurement, Reliability and Operations personnel to complete all shipping and receiving duties in the storeroom. This position will keep the storeroom clean and organized, complete monthly inventory cycle counting and kitting of parts for work orders.
Basic Requirements:
- Must demonstrate advanced computer skills and be able to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, EAM and Oracle.
- Must be capable of becoming a licensed forklift operator certification for use in unloading and transporting materials.
- Must be able to work safely with minimal supervision.
- Must demonstrate a high level of organizational and inventory management skills while maintaining a safe and clean store environment.
- Must have good communication skills and professional interactions with internal and external customers.
- Regular and predictable attendance is required.
Job Procedures and Requirements:
- Process packing slips in Oracle and EAM, including physical verification of parts received.
- Stocking and labeling activities include the establishment of new inventory, assignment of part numbers, functional location and equipment hierarchy associations with the Reliability Professional.
- Organizing inventories to ensure safe access and adherence to Model Program requirements.
- Perform parts kitting and staging with delivery activities with EAM work orders.
- Retrieving vendor part deliveries, servicing client stores requests and assisting Planner in job scoping activities.
- Purging part staging areas and communication of deficiencies to leadership.
- Performing storeroom 5S organizational activities.
- Performing receiving activities (opening boxes, checking packing slips, noting discrepancies and ensuring vendors provided required information).
- Complete routine cycle counting activities and resolve all discrepancies. Track inventory usage to adjust min/max levels for inventory optimization.
- Work closely with the Procurement Coordinator and Reliability Leadership team to identify improvement/cost reduction and CI opportunities in the storeroom.
- Work with Procurement Coordinator on expediting issues for parts or services.
- Internal candidates will have no significant performance/ attendance infractions within the last 36 months.
- Other duties as assigned by Management
Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
