Childcare Teacher – Early Childhood Education
Location: The Learning Experience – Byron Center, MI
Pay: $16–$18 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

The Learning Experience – Byron Center is seeking a caring and dependable Childcare Teacher to support classrooms serving infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children. This role focuses on creating a positive and engaging environment where children build confidence, independence, and early learning skills through structured routines and hands-on experiences.

This position is ideal for educators who enjoy working with a variety of age groups in a collaborative and supportive childcare setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily classroom routines and learning activities across age groups
• Create a safe, nurturing, and organized classroom environment
• Encourage social, emotional, and cognitive development through play-based learning
• Guide children through transitions including meals, rest time, and learning centers
• Assist with classroom preparation and activity setup
• Communicate professionally with families and teaching team members
• Follow Michigan childcare licensing requirements and center policies

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Prior childcare experience preferred
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Reliable and nurturing approach to working with children
• Must meet Michigan childcare licensing requirements
