Application Data Engineer

We are seeking a SQL Developer to design, build, and optimize data pipelines and database solutions. This role supports analytics and business operations while ensuring data quality, scalability, and performance. The ideal candidate is a strong problem-solver who can work independently, be willing to take feedback, and also give feedback as the team learns and grows together.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes
• Develop and optimize SQL Server database solutions
• Perform root cause analysis and resolve data issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data solutions
• Mentor junior team members
• Ensure data integrity, security, and performance best practices

Top Skills

• Strong experience with SQL / T-SQL and SQL Server
• Experience with SSIS
• Experience with Confluent Kafka or streaming technologies
• Experience with SQL Store, Microsoft Fabric, and Azure

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lansing, MI.

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $65.00/hr.
