Allegria Village is a premier senior living community in Dearborn, offering Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Skilled Nursing all on one campus. We are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our Assisted Living leadership team.
This role is ideal for a compassionate, organized nursing professional who thrives in a leadership role and is committed to delivering exceptional resident care.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership and clinical oversight to nursing staff, including LPNs, Care Aides, and Med Techs
Ensure excellent customer service and communication with residents and their families
Serve as a liaison between management and frontline nursing staff
Assist department leadership in maintaining compliance with Michigan (MI) and Department of Health (DOH) regulations
Conduct daily rounds and follow up promptly on identified issues
Process resident transfers, re-admissions, and oversee new admission acclimation
Oversee and maintain accurate resident documentation and medical records in compliance with DOH regulations
Develop, review, and update resident care plans; review plans with residents and families
Perform medication cart audits quarterly in accordance with MI regulations
Address resident complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner
Participate in family care conferences and departmental meetings
Assist the DON with monthly department meetings
Coordinate new hire orientation, training, and ongoing staff education
Conduct monthly and as-needed in-service training
Ensure adherence to Allegria Village policies and procedures at all times
Maintain systems, records, and resident charts per regulatory standards
Position Summary
The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) supports the Director of Nursing in overseeing clinical operations within the Assisted Living community. The ADON will use strong clinical judgment, leadership, and communication skills to ensure high-quality care, regulatory compliance, and positive experiences for residents, families, and staff.
Qualifications & Requirements
Current LPN or RN license (State of Michigan required)
Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience , preferably in long-term care or assisted living
Previous leadership or nursing management experience
Strong knowledge of medical documentation, records management, and regulatory compliance
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
Commitment to fostering a positive, supportive, and team-oriented work environment
