Inventory Control Manager | Muskegon, MI

Salary Range: $72,000 - $111,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and optimize all inventory control processes and procedures within manufacturing operations.
• Develop, implement, and maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Analyze inventory data to identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for stock level optimization.
• Develop and execute strategies for managing and minimizing obsolete and slow-moving inventory.
• Collaborate with production, purchasing, and warehousing teams to ensure accurate material flow and availability.
• Maintain and ensure the integrity and accuracy of inventory records within the ERP/WMS system.
• Monitor and report on key inventory performance metrics, including accuracy, turns, and days of supply.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in inventory control or supply chain management, specifically within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced inventory management software.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills for forecasting, demand planning, and inventory optimization.
• Demonstrated leadership ability to manage, train, and develop an inventory team.
• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, supply chain principles, and lean inventory methodologies.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean or Six Sigma Green Belt certification
• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification
• Proficiency with advanced data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
• Experience with warehouse automation technologies (e.g., AS/RS, AGVs)
