Position Overview:
We’re seeking a motivated and friendly team member to join our office in a dual role as Medical Assistant and Front Desk Receptionist .
Our staff work together in all areas — assisting providers with clinical tasks and helping patients at the front desk — to keep the office running smoothly and deliver the best possible patient experience.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience as a medical assistant or front desk receptionist
- Friendly, professional communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work collaboratively as part of a small team
- Comfort with electronic medical records (EMR) systems- We use ATHENA
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
Responsibilities:
- Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner
- Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff
- Communicate with insurance companies for proper billing procedures
- Performing basic lab testing and specimen collection
- Clinical duties include obtaining vital signs, assisting physician in procedures and charting, following all OSHA guidelines, etc.
- Administrative duties include scanning, verifying insurance, answering phones, collect patient payments, medical billing, etc.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in healthcare administration or other related fields
- Familiarity with medical billing procedures
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
