Office Assistant

Description We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Office Assistant to join our team in Okemos, Michigan. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in ensuring smooth daily operations by providing administrative and clerical support. The ideal candidate will excel in multitasking and have strong communication skills to manage office tasks efficiently. Responsibilities: - Greet and assist visitors, ensuring an attentive and welcoming environment. - Handle incoming calls, answering inquiries and directing them to the appropriate department. - Manage document scanning and filing to maintain accurate and accessible records. - Perform general clerical tasks, such as data entry and correspondence management. - Support human resources administration by assisting with onboarding and maintaining employee records. - Organize and maintain paper filing systems for easy retrieval of documents. - Utilize Google Workspace and Microsoft Excel to complete administrative tasks. - Collaborate with team members to support office operations and ensure efficiency. Requirements - Proven experience in receptionist or administrative roles. - Proficiency in document scanning and electronic filing systems. - Strong ability to manage inbound calls and provide excellent customer service. - Familiarity with clerical duties, including data entry and record management. - Knowledge of human resources administration processes is a plus. - Competency in using Google Workspace and Microsoft Excel for office tasks. - Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail. - Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
