Paralegal/Legal Assistant
Location: Farmington Hills, MI (Onsite)
About Us:
We are a multi-state collections law firm based in Farmington Hills. Experience in civil litigation is required. Responsibilities include preparing multiple pleadings, interaction with clients and supporting the attorneys.
Candidates should have the following attributes:
- Reliable with strong work ethic.
- Pays attention to detail.
- Well organized.
- Ability to multi-task, as well as the ability to work in a high volume and deadline driven environment is essential.
- Ability to work in a team environment, and act as a team player.
- Degree and/or Experience:
- Bachelor degree, Associate degree, or Paralegal and/or Legal Assistant certification, or;
- Comparable experience in a collection law firm or the legal department of a 3rd party collection environment, or;
- 2-5 years of experience with a law firm or legal department.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with people at all organization levels of the firm.
- Computer Experience:
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Previous experience with the following Collection Software is a plus: Collection Partner and/or Cogent
Attendance:
Candidates should have reliable transportation and be able to work regular business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
