Manufacturing Quality Technician

VENTEON / HRS are hiring a Manufacturing Quality Technician to provide support in Sterling Heights, MI. You will work on a team of Technicians ensuring that items being produced meet specifications using various measuring techniques. You will also report all quality issues and provide production expertise to resolve Quality issues within the production operation.

POSITION TYPE: Full Time, Direct Hire. Day Shift opening.

PAY: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour (based on years of experience and skillset) plus PTO and benefits package.

Requirements of the Quality Technician:

• 
  Knowledgeable in automotive manufacturing and plastic injection molding.

• Solid work experience in manufacturing quality control that includes taking part in PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, and Guage R&R documentation and processes.

• Able to read and interpret blueprints.

• Experience using measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers and gauges.

• Ability to pay attention to detail and root cause issues.

• Good communication skills and computer capability.

• Person who shows up every day, ready to work.

Duties of the Quality Technician:

• Participate in PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan & Gauge R&R reporting and activities.
• Lead daily scrap and downtime reporting and monitoring.
• Document data control. Support corrective action activities.
• Work to ensure containment and sorting is initiated to protect the customer.
• Manage SPC data analysis and system input.
• Facilitate fixture and tool calibrations.
• Establish training protocols for sorting activities and reporting out on results.
• Create and maintain work instructions. Create and distribute quality alerts.
• Facilitate quality and process related training.
• Daily facility walks.
• Complete Product audits and Manufacturing process audits monthly.
• Coordinate with Quality and Production team to ensure any quality related issues are addressed in a timely manner.
• Monitor and support the implementation of continuous improvements initiatives.
