Special Education Teacher 25-26 School Year MI Certified-Full Caseload
Lighthouse Therapy is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to virtually lead a resource room program in a Michigan school for grades K-3rd. This role focuses on small-group instruction and individualized support for students with IEPs, helping them succeed in the least restrictive environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct instruction aligned to IEP goals in reading, math, behavior, and executive functioning
- Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusion
- Conduct IEP meetings, evaluations, and progress monitoring
- Maintain compliance with IDEA and Michigan’s MARSE guidelines
Requirements
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with appropriate special education endorsement
- Experience writing and implementing IEPs and BIPs
- Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
- Experience with Science of Reading or Phonics/Phonemic awareness
