HR Manager | Lansing, MI
Salary Range: $81,000 - $126,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Manages full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for production, technical, and administrative staff.
- Oversees employee relations, including conflict resolution, grievance handling, and disciplinary actions.
- Develops and implements HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with labor laws and company standards.
- Administers compensation and benefits programs, including hourly wage structures and shift differentials.
- Leads talent development initiatives, performance management cycles, and mandatory safety training programs.
- Partners with plant leadership to align HR strategies with operational goals and production targets.
- Ensures a safe working environment by collaborating on safety initiatives and incident investigations.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proven HR management experience (5+ years) specifically within a manufacturing environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including OSHA, FLSA, and FMLA.
- Expertise in talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and compensation/benefits administration.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with operational goals.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of effective conflict resolution and fostering a positive work culture.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience in a unionized manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
- Multilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish) to support a diverse workforce.
- Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing-specific safety regulations (e.g., OSHA).
- Previous experience in an operational or production role.
