Automotive Parts Delivery Driver
AUTOMOTIVE PARTS DELIVERY DRIVER

THE POSITION: The job starts from the driver’s home. Parts are shuttled daily from the parts depot to the driver’s home. The Delivery driver then distributes the parts to customers in Northern Michigan daily.

Skills & Qualifications:
- Current, Valid, Driver’s license; satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) Required.
- DOT Medical Card or Ability to obtain one.
- Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
- Problem solving.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
- One year in a vehicle parts department preferred.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Deliver parts and equipment to customers from employee’s home.
- Pick up parts and equipment from customers and vendors, to be coordinated with the Parts Manager, Inventory Control Clerk, Parts Counter people, or Shipping and Receiving Clerk before leaving.
- Complete a log at the time of delivery and request the recipient’s signature.
- Unload truck each night. Turn in all paperwork and undelivered parts.
- Help maintain the professional appearance of the parts department.
- Maintain the parts delivery vehicle; ensure it is clean and operates properly.
- Adheres to Company policies and procedures.
Physical Requirements:
- Required to stand, sit, use hand to finger, handle, or feel.
- Frequently is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach with hands and arms, take and hear.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
