Respiratory Therapist Job Details

• Location: Jackson, MI 49201 (Michigan respiratory therapy jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital – Respiratory EKG Services
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 8/25/2025 – End: 11/22/2025)
• Shifts: 3x12 hour night shifts per week (1845-0715), every other weekend
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1680 - $1730
• Employment Type: Travel respiratory therapist contract

Registered Respiratory Therapist Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Associate of Science Degree from an accredited Respiratory Therapist program (Bachelor's in Respiratory Therapy preferred)
• Current RRT licensure and certification (National Board of Respiratory Care)
• Active Respiratory Therapist license in the State of Michigan
• BLS certification required

Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities

• Deliver life-support, resuscitation, monitoring, and medical gases therapy to patients in ICU and General Practice Units
• Perform invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures for hospital patients
• Maintain clinical expertise for respiratory therapy assignments across multiple hospital units
• Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare team members, physicians, and staff regarding patient care needs
• Accurately document all aspects of patient respiratory care
• Supervise, direct, and delegate tasks to other Respiratory Therapists, orients, externs, and students
• Complete accurate patient billing information for respiratory services
