What We Are Looking For

YII is looking for an Engineering Manager to join our team based out of Canton, MI or Plano, TX to lead our talented engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hardware and software development, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for innovation. As an Engineering Manager, you will play a crucial role in guiding our projects from concept to completion, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

What You Will Be Doing

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
• Oversee the design, development, and testing of hardware and software products for automotive, agriculture, and construction applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, marketing, and sales, to define project requirements and deliverables.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance engineering processes and practices.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our products remain competitive.
• Manage resource allocation, project timelines, and budgets effectively.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team as needed.

What You Will Bring To The Table

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
• Proven experience in a leadership role within an engineering team.
• Strong knowledge of hardware and software development processes.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in the automotive, agriculture, or construction industries is a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a People Manager.
• Preferred 7 plus years of experience
