Facilities Maintenance Technician ll

he Facilities Maintenance Technician performs general maintenance such as electrical, plumbing,
carpentry, office furniture assemblies and heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC)
troubleshooting. The Facilities Maintenance Technician repairs, installs, and removes equipment at
company facilities and will travel daily between company facilities on the assigned campus.
As a Facilities Maintenance Technician ll, you will be responsible for:
- Provide facilities maintenance support such as plumbing, carpentry, door hardware, office
furniture assemblies, minor electrical, minor fabrication, and heating, ventilation, and air
conditioning (HVAC) troubleshooting - Provide solutions and operate independently on jobs that are assigned
- Advise and research repair methods with team members
- Enter work order comments and timecards
To be considered as a Facilities Maintenance Technician ll, you will need:
- High school diploma or equivalent level of education
- 3 years of general maintenance experience or equivalent military experience
- Able to solve practical problems and diagnose basic plumbing, electrical and equipment malfunctions (such as a tire machine or vehicle hoist)
- Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measurement, including fractions
- Reliable transportation to travel between buildings
- Skilled in the use of power and hand tools
- Basic power and hand tools required, with tool list to be provided upon hire
- Basic computer skills and good communication skills
- Good driving record and reliable transportation
- Good verbal and written communication skills
A successful candidate may also have:
- HVAC troubleshooting experience
- Machine repair and troubleshooting experience
- Skilled in the use of a forklift and scissor lift
- Ability to work overtime as needed including weekends
