Rug Cleaning Assistant
Overview
The Rug Cleaning Assistant helps the Rug Cleaning Specialist process and clean area rugs. There are also times when the Assistant will be on the road helping with pick-up and delivery of rugs to our customer’s homes as well as to our outer stores.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the cleaning and processing of area rugs in our cleaning plant.
- Assist in preparing the workspace for the daily activities associated with rug washing.
- Assist with maintenance of the equipment, filling out maintenance request forms when needed.
- Assist Specialist in prepping rugs for cleaning.
- Work with Quality Control inspector to finish, roll and store completed rugs.
- Assist customers dropping off or picking up rugs, as needed.
- Participate in keeping work areas neat and well maintained.
- Fill in as a delivery assistant when needed.
- Work as a shuttle driver to our outer stores when needed
- Other duties assigned by Specialist or Manager.
- Work in other areas of the company when not needed in the Rug Cleaning Plant.
Requirements
- Hard worker

- Able to lift heavy objects
- Good driving preferred but not necessary
- Ability to work in a team setting
- People skills
- Ability to communicate with a diverse population of people
