Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines (lathes, mills, grinders) according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, G-code, and engineering drawings to ensure accurate production.
• Perform quality checks on machined parts using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Monitor machine operations, making adjustments to optimize performance and maintain product quality.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and tooling, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machine operation, tooling, or part defects.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience operating and setting up CNC mills and/or lathes.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T.
• Strong understanding of G-code and M-code for program editing and troubleshooting.
• Skilled in using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges).
• Ability to perform routine machine maintenance and identify common machining issues.
• Knowledge of various materials and appropriate cutting tools and parameters.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks CAM).
• Proficiency in advanced metrology tools (e.g., CMM, optical comparators, profilometers).
• Basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
