Security Gatehouse Attendant - Flexible/On-Call

Allegria Village , a vibrant and secure senior living community in Dearborn, is excited to welcome a Contingent Gatehouse Attendant to our team!

Shift Details:

This role is Contingent , meaning you’ll be scheduled just two weekends per month — a total of 32 hours per month . It’s the perfect opportunity for someone seeking a flexible, part-time commitment. Day and afternoon shifts are available.

What You’ll Do

• Greet and log all visitors, residents, and employees

• Help keep our campus running smoothly by directing traffic

• Complete Daily Rounds Reports

• Make regular rounds of buildings and grounds

• Patrol the property to ensure a safe and welcoming environment

• Prepare Incident Reports when needed

• Respond thoughtfully and promptly to medical emergencies

• Support our leadership team with additional tasks that keep our community thriving

• Other duties as needed

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of related experience

• First Aid Certification (preferred)

• Strong multitasker who communicates clearly and confidently

• Comfortable reading instructions, safety rules, and procedural documents

• Able to write clear reports and documentation

• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office) and willingness to learn new systems

• Organized, dependable, and great at managing time

• Strong judgment and problem-solving skills

• Works well independently and with a team

• Calm, steady presence in stressful situations

• Valid Driver’s License required (to operate our patrol vehicle)

Education

• High school diploma or GED

Physical Requirements

To excel in this role, you should be able to:

• Lift up to 50 lbs

• Walk, stand, push, pull, stoop, bend, crawl, carry, stretch, and type

• Maintain clear vision (close, distance, color, depth perception)
