Hospice Liaison/Marketer

Safro Staffing is looking for a qualified professional who has a marketing and/or sales background preferably in the healthcare field. Our client is a national hospice agency looking for new talent for the Livonia, MI service area.

Reports to: Program Director

Qualifications:

1. High school graduate with extensive training and/or experience in marketing/sales. Formal education is preferred.

2. Knowledge of Hospice/Medicare requirements.

3. Ability to be flexible and adapt to change.

4. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, telephone and communication skills.

5. Must possess the disposition and personality to work harmoniously with a wide variety of people and all levels of staff, and interact professionally as a member of a multidisciplinary team.

6. Must possess a strong commitment to the goals, mission and philosophy of the organization.

7. Ability to adapt to changing organizational needs.

8. Ability to work flexible hours as required to meet identified needs of our customers.

9. Absolute integrity and in the use of good judgment to handle the professional and confidential nature of assignments.

10. Must have reliable transportation and car insurance.

11. Must have a valid drivers’ license in the state which services are provided.

Essential Functions:

1. Markets services to the community, including nursing homes, hospitals, assisted living homes, physician offices and other potential referral sources.

2. Maintains a liaison with the facility on a regular basis.

3. Arranges for community education programs and assists with educational programs.

4. Conducts annual in-services with existing contracted facilities.

5. Provides communication with the office and accounts with updated changes in both personal and policy.

6. Keeps updated on new facilities in the geographic area served and attempts to secure new accounts.

7. Other Job duties as assigned by management to satisfy the needs of the organization.

Performance Functions

3. Monitors changing needs of the client and facility.

4. Maintains relationship with the community’s health and health related resources.

5. Participate in employee development activities.

6. Assist with the planning and direction of in-service educational programs.

7. Maintains an ongoing communication with office staff and participates in staff conferences when requested.

8. Participates in the review, analysis and appraisal of the agency’s total program annually.

9. Responds to change productively and performs other job related tasks and duties as assigned.

10. Participates in local professional organizations and activities.

11. Promotes the Hospice services in the local community.

12. Responds promptly to referral source

13. Act as a role model in confidentiality, professionalism, appropriate attire, unbiased interpersonal relationships and work attitudes.

14. Ensures confidentiality of patient records/Information.

15. Participates in performance improvement activities as requested.

16. Complies with national standards within Joint Commission, Local, State and Federal guidelines.

17. Completes daily report sheets and any required paperwork in a timely fashion to ensure agency operating schedules.
