Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machinery (lathes, mills, grinders) according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine production requirements.
• Monitor machine operations, detect malfunctions, and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality.
• Perform in-process and final inspection of machined parts using precision measuring instruments.
• Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of CNC machines and work area.
• Adjust machine controls and tool offsets to maintain part accuracy and quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic machine alarms or production issues.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in operating and setting up CNC mills and/or lathes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code/M-code.
• Strong understanding and application of precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges).
• Solid foundational knowledge of shop math, including trigonometry and geometry.
• Proven experience with various tooling, inserts, and fixture setups.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software for program creation or modification.
• Experience with advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparators).
• Basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Ability to manually edit and optimize G-code programs.
