• Location: Battle Creek, MI 49017 (Michigan healthcare jobs)
• Assignment Type: Locum tenens (Travel nursing contract)
• Unit: General Medical – C3 (Med/Surg Registered Nurse)
• Start Date: September 8, 2025
• End Date: December 8, 2025
• Duration: 13-week nursing contract
• Shifts: Day shifts, 12 hours (07:00 – 19:30)
• Hours per Week: 36 (3x12s or 4x12s available)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,750 – $1,800
• Orientation: 8 hours (first 8 days of assignment required)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and valid Michigan RN license (required for Michigan nursing jobs)
• BLS certification (AHA) – pending accepted if willing to obtain
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience required (2 years preferred)
• Willingness to float to other Med/Surg units as needed
• Availability to work every other weekend and holidays as required
• Proof of flu vaccination (medical exemptions considered)
• Professional references required

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to ortho/neurovascular, cardio/pulmonary, and surgical patients (GI, urology, hysterectomies, mastectomies)
• Collaborate with RNs, LPNs, techs, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive clinical support
• Float to other Med/Surg units as needed (typically once per week)
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:5-6 for nights (may flex to 8 with LPN support)
• Participate in required orientation and annual training modules
• Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling and adaptability to unit needs
