Industrial MIG/TIG Fabrication Welder

Step into a day on the shop floor

It’s 6:00 AM in Monroe, MI. You clock in, gear up, and review the day’s blueprints for an environmental equipment project. By mid-morning, you’re running clean, consistent MIG, TIG, and Flux Core welds in a heavy industrial setting, confirming measurements, and grinding components to a precise finish. After lunch, you’re installing and repairing assemblies, running test checks to verify weld tolerance, and signing off that specs are met. Overtime available when production ramps up, and occasional Saturdays help you boost your paycheck.

About the role

The Advance Group has partnered with an environmental company in Monroe, MI to hire skilled Welder/Fabricators who thrive in steel manufacturing environments and enjoy building durable, high-quality products.

What you’ll work on

• MIG, TIG, and Flux Core welding in a heavy industrial environment
• Grinding, fabricating, and finishing metal components
• Installing and repairing equipment and related assemblies
• Calculating material measurements to verify specifications
• Conducting tests to evaluate weld quality and tolerance
• Reading and interpreting blueprints to meet product specifications

What you bring

• Proficiency with measuring devices
• 3+ years of MIG, TIG, and Flux Core welding experience in a steel manufacturing environment
• Strong blueprint reading ability

Schedule and pay

• 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Occasional Saturdays and OT as needed
• Starting pay: $22–$23/hour, based on experience
