Sandblast Operator

As a Sandblast Operator, you will be responsible for performing paint preparation duties using air-powered sandblasting equipment, grinders, needle guns, and other hand and power tools. Your role will involve inspecting each item, removing weld splatter, excess welds, and sharp edges to ensure the part or trailer is fully cleared for painting. You will also mark miswelds and other quality defects in trailers and may operate a forklift to move material around the shop as needed.

• Perform paint prep duties using sandblasting equipment and power tools.
• Inspect items and remove weld splatter, excess welds, and sharp edges.
• Mark miswelds and other quality defects in trailers.
• Operate a forklift to move material around the shop when needed.

• Experience in sandblasting and paint preparation.
• Proficiency in using power tools, including grinders and needle guns.
• 1+ year of grinding/prepping experience in an industrial setting.

• Blueprint reading experience is a plus.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bridgman, MI.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
