Shipping & Documentation Specialist
Based in: Walker, MI 49544
About the role- Own the preparation and packing of outbound orders to company specs.
- Generate precise labels and shipment documents for tracking and inventory control.
- Line up pickups/deliveries with carriers and confirm schedules.
- Keep shipping records current and inventory logs accurate.
- Check incoming and outgoing shipments for quality and correctness.
- Dig into and resolve shipping variances quickly.
- Team up with warehouse colleagues to keep product moving.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a tidy workspace.
- You’re meticulous, organized, and steady under time pressure.
- You communicate clearly—both in writing and in person.
- You’re comfortable toggling between solo tasks and teamwork.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics (preferred).
- Proficient with shipping platforms and basic computer applications.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and move packages safely.
- Available to work across different shifts when needed.
- Packaging experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic computer skills.
- Experience with FedEx Ship Manager.
