Kalamazoo Valley is looking for a skilled designer to work with a variety of departmental colleagues in an internal marketing and communications agency environment that serves dozens of internal clients across the college.

About the Opportuni ty
Kalamazoo Valley is seeking a full-time Lead Designer as part of the college's Marketing Department. The Lead Designer will lead the college in protecting and expanding our brand, serving all of our college entities: the Kalamazoo Valley Museum, the Groves Center, The KVCC Foundation, the Bronson Healthy Living Campus, and the Acadia Commons Campus. The Lead Designer will be preparing college promotional materials such as catalogs, brochures, print ads and posters. The ideal candidate will be able to analyze data and devise marketing strategies that will recruit and retain students. Applicants should have knowledge of up-to-date processes and techniques for deploying traditional media ad campaigns; including broadcast, outdoor, print and on-line advertising. Strong photography skills are needed, as well as the ability to work with videographers. Applicants must also be experienced in creating engaging and strategic social media content.
The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator and listener who can offer excellent customer service. We are looking for a patient problem solver who can sell the opportunities offered by a community college. Candidates should possess experience with Adobe Creative Suite Software and we would welcome expertise in Square Space or Joomla.
Appropriate education, training, experience and talents are required. An example of this would be a Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as design and strategic multi-media marketing and four years of related experience.
