Software Engineer (TS/SCI with CI Poly) {S}

We are seeking a talented software engineer to support our U.S. defense and intelligence community partners. We are developing the next generation of signal and image processing software, building on our 75+ year history on the cutting edge in the radar and electro-optical fields. Position Overview:
We are seeking a developer familiar with multiple programming languages to support a growing area of one of our most significant programs working with the US Government. In this position, you will be at the forefront of implementing software in a new and growing development area and take ownership of the technical work under a more senior advisor who is broadly recognized in the community, learning directly from the best.
The team is primarily based in Ypsilanti, Michigan. This work requires candidates to be a US citizen holding a Top Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities:
- Improve the user experience of information-providing dashboards ensuring users can quickly identify issues and move to resolution
- Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable software applications using modern programming languages and technologies. Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code that adheres to best practices and coding standards
- Build and improve on automated test and verification software and tools
- Be a leader by directly overseeing development, mentoring other staff members, and sharing your knowledge
- Learn from our recognized leaders and set oneself up for future leadership in the area
- Participate in all aspects of the development lifecycle, including planning, requirements development, software design, implementation and build, documentation, testing, deployment, and maintenance
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely and effective manner
Required Qualifications:
- U.S. citizenship with a current/active TS/SCI with CI Poly U.S. Government Security Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, signals processing, electrical engineering, or related technology fields (2 years of professional experience in lieu of degree)
- Programming skills in C++, Python, Type Script, Java, or Rust
- Experience developing in a Linux environment
- Version control experience in Git (GitHub, GitLab, BitBucket)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work within a team environment to advance large software development packages by taking on and completing tasks independently
- Must be willing to work on-site
Preferred Qualifications:
- Multiple programming languages
- Security+ accreditation
- Academic or professional experience in radar or electro-optical fields
- Work in formal software development methodologies (Agile)
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS preferred)
- Experience writing software implementing algorithms
- Desire to learn new technologies
