CNC Set-up Machinist | Grand Rapids, MI | $24-32/hr. based on skills and experience
Direct Hire | Three shift options available:
- Night Shift: 7:30pm-6:00am Monday – Thursday, enjoy a three-day weekend each week!
- Weekend Day Shift: 6:00am-6:00pm Friday-Sunday, work 36 hours, get paid for 40 hours!
- Weekend Night Shift: 6:00pm-6:00am Friday-Sunday, work 36 hours, get paid for 40 hours!
Kelly Services, in collaboration with a leading manufacturing organization is looking to hire several CNC Machinists to join the client's team on a permanent basis. Our client is experiencing ongoing growth and business expansion into 2025, having recently secured a new seven-year government contract. This is a direct hire CNC Machinist position, meaning you will be hired permanently with our client and offered their competitive benefit and vacation package upon hire.

Position Information:
- Set up and operate CNC Mills and Lathes including configuring machine settings, installing tools, and preparing materials according to process documentation
- Complete quality inspections of parts including 1st piece, in-process and last piece inspection using calipers, comparators, gauges and CMM equipment
- Deburr or rework of work in process as needed
- Troubleshoot and correct equipment or tooling issues as well as completing operator level machine maintenance
Required Experience:
- 2+ years of experience with CNC Mill set-up and operation required
- Experience with Swiss CNC Mills preferred
- Strong understanding of x, y, z axis, ability read blueprints, and ability to complete basic mathematical functions
- Previous experience operating Citizen Swiss lathe preferred
- Experience with calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring equipment
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
