Cold Heading Machine Operator

1ST and 2ND Shift

6:00am to 2:30pm Mon- Fri

2:00pm to 12:30am Mon- Thu.

Pay: 18.00-28.00-per hour (based on experience)

Location: Kentwood, Michigan

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Cold Heading Machine Operator to set up, operate, and maintain cold heading equipment, including 1-die 2-blow (Hartford and Nakamashad’s) and 4- or 5-station (ChunZu and National Machinery) machines. This role ensures the efficient production of high-quality, precision-formed products that meet customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and adjust cold heading machines according to part drawings and dimensional requirements.

• Monitor part dimensions and quality using assigned gauges, micrometers, and calipers.

• Perform and record machine adjustments as needed to maintain product quality within tolerance.

• Lubricate and grease machines regularly to ensure optimal performance.

• Complete daily maintenance checklists and production reports accurately and on time.

• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to maintain safety and efficiency.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Position Requirements:

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.

• Ability to read and interpret customer prints and dimensional charts.

• Proficiency with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).

• Capable of lifting up to 60 pounds.

• Prior cold heading experience strongly preferred.
