HOURLY RATE: (DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE)

SCHOOL YEAR EMPLOYEE; 1.5 HOURS PER DAY

SICK/PERSONAL DAYS AND HOLIDAY PAY AVAILABLE (AFTER 90 DAY PROBATION)

Description:

The Elementary School Office Lunch Coverage Assistant provides support to the main office staff during the lunch period. This role ensures consistent office coverage, answers phones, assists visitors, monitors student movement, and performs light clerical duties. The ideal candidate is friendly, organized, dependable, and enjoys working in a school environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Answer incoming phone calls and route messages appropriately
• Greet and assist students, parents, and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner
• Monitor students entering or leaving the office
• Assist with light clerical tasks such as filing, copying, and organizing materials
• Provide basic support to staff and students during lunch transitions if needed
• Ensure confidentiality and security of student and staff information
• Other duties as assigned by building administration

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience working in a school or office setting preferred
• Experience with Student Information Systems (e.g. Powerschool, Skyward, etc.)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to multitask in a busy environment
• Dependable and punctual
• Candidate must agree to authorize Brandywine Community Schools to conduct a criminal history search via fingerprinting
