Salary Range: $57,000 - $89,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, write, and debug CMM inspection programs from CAD models and blueprints.
• Interpret complex engineering drawings, CAD data, and GD&T specifications for measurement strategies.
• Perform dimensional inspections of manufactured parts using CMM equipment and analyze results.
• Generate comprehensive inspection reports, including deviation analysis and statistical data.
• Troubleshoot CMM program errors and optimize existing programs for efficiency and accuracy.
• Assist in the design and setup of CMM fixtures to ensure proper part orientation.
• Conduct routine calibration checks and basic maintenance on CMM equipment and probes.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).
• Strong understanding and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints and specifications.
• Proven experience in CMM programming, setup, and operation within a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of metrology principles, measurement techniques, and inspection processes.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with advanced CAD software for fixture design or model manipulation.
• Proficiency with other metrology equipment such as vision systems, laser scanners, or structured light systems.
• Certified in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), e.g., ASME GDTP.
• Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) software and data analysis.
