Histology Technician Histotechnologist (HTHTL)

Lighthouse Lab Services is partnering with a growing dermatopathology laboratory near Buffalo NY to recruit an additional Full-Time Histotechnician . This 2-year-old lab is experiencing increased specimen volumeaveraging around 60 samples per dayand is seeking a third Histotech to support workload balance and maintain high-quality turnaround times.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a small collaborative team where your work directly impacts daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Duties

• Same-day specimen receiving and grossing (skin specimens)

• Process embed cut and stain tissue samples following standard protocols

• Maintain quality control standards in all phases of histology work

Secondary Duties

• General laboratory maintenance and equipment upkeep

• Assist team members as needed to ensure smooth workflo

Schedule

• Full-time MondayFriday 11 AM7 PM

• Fridays are typically lighter and may allow for early departure though volume varies

• No on-call weekends or holidays required

Required Qualifications

• NYS Clinical Laboratory License (HT or HTL) Required

• ASCP HT or HTL certification Accepted

• Skin grossing experience Strongly preferred

• Understanding of skin embedding practices; training available for strong candidates

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly Rate: $30$35/hr
