Physical Therapist Job Details

• Location: Battle Creek, MI (serving Van Buren, Calhoun, and Kalamazoo Counties)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (September 8, 2025 – December 8, 2025)
• Employment Type: Travel Physical Therapist (Locum Tenens)
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital, Home Health, Acute Care, Outpatient, Rehabilitation, Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
• Shift: Day Shift, 5x8-hour shifts (8:00am – 5:00pm)
• Hours per Week: 40 (Full Time Physical Therapy Job)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (with a day off during the week on rotation)
• Guaranteed Hours: Yes
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2500 - $2560
• Flu Vaccine: Required (medical exemptions accepted)

Physical Therapist Qualifications

• Active Michigan Physical Therapist license (required for Michigan PT jobs)
• BLS certification (AHA)
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Physical Therapist
• Home health experience required
• Experience in acute care, outpatient clinics, rehabilitation hospitals, and skilled nursing facilities
• Proficiency with electronic charting systems
• Ability to provide clinical support to diverse patient populations: adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Proof of flu vaccination or exemption (to be submitted within 48 hours of contract signing)
• Professional references required

Physical Therapist Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive physical therapy services across multiple healthcare settings
• Assess, plan, and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with orthopedic and neurologic conditions (including post-op, spinal, total joint replacements, cognitive disorders, MS, Parkinson's, stroke, TBI, and more)
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and rehabilitation strategies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including interpretation and social services
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic charting system
• Provide high-quality patient care to a daily caseload of approximately 6 visits per day
• Participate in orientation and required annual training modules
