Jig & Fixture Builder

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for executing the build as represented in the build prints and per the customer requirements
• Will calculate the unspecified dimensions along with laying out designs using various materials
• Will establish and coordinate reference points and tooling holes by using straightedges and measuring
• Lead a team that fits and assembles tooling components for Aerospace customers
• Does repairs and rework on tools as needed
• Will draw and prepare sketches for the fabrication department as needed
• May need to operate machines including lathes, Bridgeports, lathes and grinders as needed
• Additional job duties as assigned

Skills and Competencies:

• Minimum of 5 years experience as a Fixture builder in the Aerospace industry.
• Knowledge of geometric tolerances
• Experience with Catia V5 and Enovia a plus
• Able to read and understand blueprints
• Good math, verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organization and follow up skills
• Must understand deadlines and how they impact the overall business
• Experience with ISO 9001 and AS91000 Quality standards desired
• High School Diploma or equivalent
